Paul Riganas Gone But Not Forgotten
The Squat 'N' Gobble restaurant has been a Bluffton landmark for many years. Paul and his wife Star purchased the restaurant in 2001 after relocating from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Paul Riganas, passed away in 2011 and his warm hospitality, generosity of spirit and down home kind of friendliness will be missed. He was always delightful and welcoming to the diverse patronage that visited the restaurant.
Like all classics, the music still plays long after the composer is gone, so the Squat 'N' Gobble continues to operate with Star Rush, Paul's wife, at the helm. Star's daughter, Star Wozniak, joined the family business full time in 2016.
Paul's Greek specialties are still on the menu today and a popular choice among guests! Paul believed in good eating at a great value. The Squat 'N' Gobble will continue to celebrate Paul's spirit of life by offering the same warm hospitality that he lived by.
Paul Apostolos Riganas (a.k.a. Paul the Greek) brought a bit of Greece with him to Bluffton for all of us to enjoy and that legacy will continue on in his loving memory.
